Job Type: Salary-exempt position. Must be available weekdays and weekends, various hours. Must adjust schedule to meet business demands.
Summary: The person in this role has overall accountability for the daily administration of Service Desk operations thereby ensuring SLAs are met or exceeded. This role will split time evenly between effectively managing/running the IT support team and being hands-on with support issues as required. The incumbent maintains the operational status of hardware and software in HQ and multiple stores. The incumbent ensures cost-efficient provision of hardware and software services and support, problem analysis, and core technical support.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Ensure that incoming customer calls and electronically reported issues are handled concisely and efficiently to a customer-agreed resolution
· Make sure that support is continuously improved and delivered in an effective and scalable way
· Create and deliver metric reporting to management regarding relevant automatic call distribution, problem management statistics and performance data.
· Monitor open tickets to ensure that customer issues are getting resolved in the appropriate time frames.
· Take responsibility for learning what steps need to be taken in order to resolve the issues in order to increase the overall department’s knowledge with troubleshooting POS, network outages and in house applications.
· Communicate any outstanding and/or critical issues, including customer concerns, immediately to the IT Director.
· Proactively identify problem areas which require correction or changes implemented and work towards a permanent or temporary resolution.
· Work with software and hardware vendors to find resolutions to problems encountered.
· Perform root cause analysis around emergency situations to provide client and internal direction on how to avoid future occurrences
· Install and configure operating systems, including but not limited to, Windows, Windows Server, Linux, Mac OS X, iOS, Android and its variations.
· Replace and configure network hardware, including routers, firewalls, switches, access points, VPN, VLAN, PBX, cabling, etc.
· Maintain and support business IT hardware and software solutions, including POS, pin pads, scales, handhelds, time & attendance, printers, labelers
· Learn quickly and adjust to changing priorities while maintaining a positive, can-do attitude
· Foster a positive work environment and partnership with coworkers and vendors.
· Create and contribute to an environment that is geared to innovation, high productivity, high quality and Guest service.
· Set high standards with respect to the treatment of Guests and team members.

Qualifications
Required:
· 4-6 years’ experience in software/hardware with emphasis on small to medium size business deployments
· At least 2 years of technical support management and customer management experiences.
· Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
· Energetic, self-motivated and detail-oriented.
· Ability to operate independently and multi-task.
· Ability to communicate technical information clearly in written and oral form
· Knowledge of ITIL (or similar) processes for Incident, Problem and Change Management
· Experience with software applications, software installations and network infrastructure
· Knowledge of Microsoft product families (IIS, SQL, and Windows Families)
· Experience with Web Servers, Windows Domain environments, Active Directory, remote desktop, remote user support, and remote desktop/server maintenance
· Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
· Must be able to write SQL queries
· Must have experience with at least one programming language
· Associates Degree or comparable in computer science, network engineering, or technical-related field
Preferred:
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent combination of education and experience, Microsoft Certification preferred
· Previous supervisory experience preferred
· Experience in the retail or grocery industry and knowledge of specific software solutions and business processes is a big plus
· Good knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server administration and advanced SQL queries
· Experience in web programming (HTML, JavaScript, PHP, Phyton, Java, MySQL, CSS, etc.)
· Knowledge of Project Management standards (PMI or similar)
· Preference for bilingual (Spanish).
Physical Requirements:
· Must be able to lift up to 45 lbs. frequently
· Successfully pass a drug test
· Ability to bend, reach, kneel, carry and squat
· Able to stand for long periods of time
