На счет практического теста, это я в курсе и к этому готов. Понятно что работодателю надо посмотреть имеет ли человек какое то понятие в сварочном деле. Речь шла о подтверждении квалификации и получении местных сертификатов без годового обучения и траты дурных денег.
Наверное везде по-разному, но обычно требование тех или иных сертификатов в разделе предпочтительных, но не обязательных требований. Не только к junior позициям, а к intermediate level сварщику тоже. По мере работы потом можно получать те или иные сертификаты.
Как свежий пример для intermediate:
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Uses metal core mig, tig, fluxcore or stick welding process (must pass two or more)
Ability to pass applicable test(s) and applicable Non Destructive Exam
May weld brackets and braces and use grinders. May position pieces to be welded into jigs, holding fixtures, guides and steps using measuring instruments and hand tools. May perform position welds on code materials
Proficient in flame and plasma cutting torches
Must have some experience reading and understanding blueprints
Must be able to operate basic cutting equipment
Promotes and supports safety, production and positive attitude
Must be able to work with the team in developing improved work processes for the department
Required Skills or Tools:
May be required to pass 3G test for vessel/tower or 6G test pipe
Preferred Education/Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum one to twelve months related experience and/or training
Welding school or on the job training
Certification to weld on pipe or plate
Knowledge of different types and sizes of pipe, structural and vessel materials
Physical Strain:
Standard requirements. Bending, squatting, climbing, stooping, twisting and reaching will all be required regularly in this position
