Тотальное поражение geniculocalcarine tract будет сопровождаться контралатеральной гемианопией точно так-же, как поражение optic tract, просто поражаются либо (гораздо чаще) волокна Meyers loop в височной доле (контралатеральная верхняя квадрантанопия), либо (гораздо реже) волокна Baums loop в теменной доле (контралатеральная нижняя квадрантопия).
