What American accent do you have? (tests)

1.Neutral
2.Midland
Довольна:)

  1. Neutral

Youre not Northern, Southern, or Western, youre just plain -American-. Your national identity is more important than your local identity, because you don`t really have a local identity. You might be from the region in that map, which is defined by this kind of accent, but you could easily not be. Or maybe you just moved around a lot growing up.

  1. Your Result: The Inland North

You may think you speak “Standard English straight out of the dictionary” but when you step away from the Great Lakes you get asked annoying questions like “Are you from Wisconsin?” or “Are you from Chicago?” Chances are you call carbonated drinks “pop.”

Your Result: Philadelphia
Your accent is as Philadelphian as a cheesesteak! If you’re not from Philadelphia, then you’re from someplace near there like south Jersey, Baltimore, or Wilmington. if you’ve ever journeyed to some far off place where people don’t know that Philly has an accent, someone may have thought you talked a little weird even though they didn’t have a clue what accent it was they heard.

Прикольно!))
У меня Neutral
По этим тестам форумчане в большинстве коренные американцы

Забавно, никогда не была в америке…но оказывается

Your Result: The Northeast

Judging by how you talk you are probably from north Jersey, New York City, Connecticut or Rhode Island. Chances are, if you are from New York City (and not those other places) people would probably be able to tell if they actually heard you speak.

2.Midland
Да уж, забавно

1.Neutral. 2.Midland.

Which American accent do you have?

Northern

You have a Northern accent. That could either be the Chicago/Detroit/Cleveland/Buffalo accent (easily recognizable) or the Western New England accent that news networks go for.

хех… хочу в Чикагу :frowning:

Northeastern
This could either mean an r-less NYC or Providence accent or one from Jersey which doesn’t sound the same. Just because you got this result doesn’t mean you dont pronounce R's.(People in Jersey dont call their state “Joisey” in real life)

а у меня Mid Atlantic
Also known as a “Philadelphia accent” but also heard in south Jersey, Baltimore, and thereabouts.

Ну что-же, значит Филадельфия…

  1. Norther

  2. “You have a Midland accent” is just another way of saying “you don’t have an accent.”

Сдается мне, потому что ответил что “I” произношу как русский звук “а”, а не “ай”
