Там писалось со слов Порошенко, что он поговорил с Трампом и пришёл к заключению, что у Трампа с РФ нет никаких связей.
Вы не в тех местах слушаете. В профильных сообществах либо ржач, либо бомбит, в зависимости от профиля.

Я читала вчера эту новость, но писать сюда лень было. Сейчас тоже. Но считаю, что это не правильно. Почему пять лет, а не три или десять? Надо бы изменить илижибилити- это да. В плане финансов. А то людям люди с заначками в десятки тысяч получать плюшки. Формально они могут претендовать- дохода нет/маленький. Кстати, как я уже раньше писала, могли бы установить временной лимит на получение велфера до получения гражданства. Скажем, не больше 6месяцев. Или год. Ну всякое ж бывает.

Dangerous & Incompetent
One month ago, President Trump took the oath of office. Since taking office, I believe his dangerous, incompetent policies and actions have jeopardized our national security, our economy, and our values.
It seems to me, every day the American people see new evidence of the financial, personal, and political grip the Russians have on the President.
The resignation of National Security Advisor Michael Flynn for undisclosed communications with the Russians and revelations that the campaign team was in constant contact with Russian intelligence agents, in my opinion reflect the dangerous, incompetent conduct of this administration.
In my view, these events show that the president’s weakness before Russia, along with the unconstitutional refugee and Muslim ban and the cruel new ICE raids on families are all a part of a failing vision for America.
Hard-working families and our democracy demand better. That’s why we are fighting for all.

Where are the Jobs?

In my view, instead of championing health coverage for all Americans, the President and the House Republican leadership’s agenda is threatening the health security of millions of Americans, and attacking a woman’s right to make her own reproductive health decisions.
As San Franciscans, we know that the beauty is in the mix and we know that our diversity makes us stronger. House Democrats pledge to stay vigilant and fight for all Americans.

Собственно говоря, закон есть давно. Речь идет только о том, чтобы энфорсить его как положено.
Просто так. Надо какой-то срок выбрать. 5 выглядет вполне разумно. В конце-концов, пять лет ждут гражданства. В общем, это такой mid term planning horizon.
Писать то не о чем. Они оба по предложению сказали, вот и вся встреча. Судя по стенограмме, длилась она 2 минуты.
Ну, никак не поверю, что форумным критикам нынешней администрации совсем нечего сказать.
А что им говорить, ведь Трамп не с Путиным встречался, а с Порошенко, который, наверное, как обычно, деньги просил. А ведь он хотел, что Клинтон выиграла выборы, и вообще многие в Украине гнали на Трампа, а теперь деньги хотят. С Порошенко взять нечего. Если бы Трамп встречался с Путиным, тогда бы уже начали говорить, что инструкции получает и Америку русским продает и всякое в этом роде на что фантазии хватит.
Ну, хорошо. Я на минуту предположу, что нашим форумным Синим нечего сказать об этом визите и встрече. Но ведь они могут что-то сказать о топике последних дней - Нэнси Пелоси. Я вчера спросил это, а в ответ тишина.
